The purpose of the Physician Health IT Advisory Group is to assist the healthcare community in positively influencing the adoption of health information technology. Its goal is to increase mechanisms, tools and services that will enhance the adoption and utilization of electronic health records, e-prescribing and the health information exchange, for the promotion of improved patient health.
We are physicians from across the state, from Northampton, Chicopee and Springfield to Brockton and the Cape. As a complement to the many organizations and professional medical societies adding value to this important work, our collaborative network focuses on the small practice and helps with the support, guidance and advice in the adoption of health IT. Recognizing that there are times when physicians are more comfortable approaching experienced colleagues for advice, we will bring together physicians who are passionate, early adopters of health IT with those who are just beginning their journey into the health IT arena.
