This month I would like to highlight MeHI’s Regional Extension Center’s (REC) services, accomplishments, and ability to help providers move forward towards implementing an EHR system. We are an organization that offers services designed to help clinical providers transition into a practice that meaningfully uses electronic health records.
To date, 12% of the REC’s 2,504 enrollees have achieved stage 1 meaningful use, making Massachusetts 6th in the nation, and we are continuing to work closely with the remaining providers. While we have reached our goal of enrolling 2,500 primary care providers, membership is still open, and our team is ready to help any provider who may be struggling with implementation, to help make the conversion to an EHR more fluid.
Medical personnel need the right tools to help them achieve the goals associated with receiving incentive payments. Our clinical relationship managers are your advocates who can answer your ehealth questions and direct you to the right resources targeted directly to your most pressing needs.
As we work towards successfully making our healthcare system more technologically advanced we are committed to helping the small practices and provider groups who have challenges ahead of them. We are your supporter and will work with you to overcome any health IT hurtles that come your way.
