The Advisory Committee will serve as the mechanism for channeling advice and recommendations to the Health Information Technology Council, which is chaired by Secretary JudyAnn Bigby, from interested private and public sector constituencies. The Advisory Committee’s primary focus will be to advise and make recommendations on all aspects of the design and implementation of the HIE, as well as on other health information technology policies for the Commonwealth. The Advisory Committee will be instrumental in fostering effective public-private collaboration and will make invaluable contributions to the shape and successful implementation of the statewide HIE. MeHI, through its Project Management Office, will assist, coordinate and facilitate the efforts of the Advisory Committee, while ad hoc workgroups will continue to broaden the base of input into key issues.
