MeHI releases RFQ for IOOs
Due to an overwhelming demand, MeHI has extended the Notice of Intent deadline to March 22, 2010, 5 p.m. All IOOs who submit their Notice of Intent by March 22, 2010 will be included in the evaluation process.
March 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. remains the firm deadline for the submission of the RFQ responses.
The Massachusetts e-Health Institute, a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, is issuing this Request for Qualifications from Implementing Optimization Organizations to seek information from those organizations that are capable of carrying out the deployment of a large number of electronic health record systems to distributed provider sites in Massachusetts. Respondents who are found to meet or exceed the threshold evaluation requirements shall be deemed “Certified” IOOs. Certified IOOs will participate with the Massachusetts Regional Extension Center designated pursuant to the HITECH Act provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. MTC, acting through MeHI, has been designated by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and funded by ONC to serve as the single REC for the Commonwealth.

All questions must be received by 5:00 PM EST on March 18, 2010. Submission of questions by electronic mail is strongly encouraged. Please include the RFQ name and number, and the word “Questions” on the envelope or in the subject heading. Questions and answers will be posted on the MTC website by 5:00 PM on March 22, 2010. **All questions received, both at the open session and via email, and any answers or guidance provided in response shall be deemed a matter of public record and may be disclosed by MTC to anyone under any circumstances it deems appropriate.
